For the past year we have been keeping you abreast of a community service project we’ve been working on and today we’re proud to announce the results.
When our founder, Jasmine, envisioned Ruby, Inc. she wanted to have a heavy philanthropic angle to the company. In fact, her ultimate goal is to turn the business into a self-sustaining non-profit. Pretty lofty goal? Yeah, we know but we’re kicking our butts working toward it. But it’s days like these that keep us going.
As you know when customers request closet editings—that’s when a personal stylist reviews a customer’s wardrobe and decides what to purge, what to have tailored and where she’ll need to splurge–customer’s unneeded items are donated to local charities or to Threadflip where they will be sold and the proceeds will be donated to style women in need.
Ruby, Inc. then collaborated with Nicole Vasquez, the owner of That Shuu Girl Boutique and Madonna Pagan the owner of A Touch of Perfection, to give one young woman named Mandy a complimentary head-to-toe makeover free of charge.
You can see the results here.
Nicole Vasquez, the owner of That Shuu Girl Boutique said:
I am so grateful I had this wonderful opportunity to work with a wonderful young lady. Giving back to the community is somethings I love doing especially when it has to do with power for young women.
Thanks again to all of the companies that came together to make this happen for this gorgeous young woman. Thank you, Threadflip, That Shuu Girl Boutique and A Touch of Perfection. It’s a pleasure making an impact with you.
